WID GTB Evening Social & Chapter Charter Celebration

Please join us for our annual Evening Social and Chapter Charter Celebration! Our annual Chapter Charter Celebration is an opportunity to celebrate our member and chapter successes – and plan for even better things next year! We look forward to networking with all current and potential members and sincerely appreciate the community’s support as we continue to grow the Greater Tampa Bay Chapter. Registration fee includes drink ticket and hors d’oeuvres.

SOFWERX Eco-System

SOFWERX seeks to bring the right minds together to solve challenging problems.  SOFWERX sends notices via its eco-system to notify potential participants of upcoming challenges or SOCOM areas of interest.  To receive these notices and participate in the SOFWERX eco-system, please sign up on the SOFWERX Eco-System website.


SOF for Life programs: helping prepare transitioning personnel above what the government provides.Global SOF Foundation hosts an online portal in which current and former SOF personnel can upload their resumes to be viewed by Global SOF Foundation corporate partners for employment opportunities. The second SOF for Life program is run by The Honor Foundation: a rigorous 12-week transition program for SOF that are 12 – 18 months out from leaving military service, either through retirement or separation.


Tampa Bay’s 50th Vietnam Commemoration Breakfast.

Sponsors needed for Tampa Bay’s 50th Vietnam Commemorative Breakfast so the breakfast is totally free for Vietnam veterans and a guest.

What: Free breakfast and program honoring Vietnam Veterans and their guest

When: Friday 10th of November 2017, 0800 – 0930

Where: Palma Ceia United Methodist Church 3723 W Bay to Bay Blvd, Tampa, FL 33629

Why: To honor those who participated in the Vietnam War, 50 years later, and give them some of the welcome home they never received

Who: Free for Vietnam Vets and their spouses, but they MUST RSVP. Others are also welcome for a $10 fee. (fee subject to change with sponsorship)

Program: Two speakers, LTG (R) Don Lionetti, who served with Headquarters I Field Force Vietnam Artillery (IFFV Arty) first as a battery commander, then as Assistant S-3 (Plans) for this Corps Artillery level organization located in II Corps Tactical Zone, Nha Trang, RVN and Ernest Hooper, a columnist from Tampa Bay Times.
