Employers needed for 2016 Navy Veteran & Wounded Warrior Conference: On June 1-2, Tampa will host the 2016 Department of the Navy Veteran & Wounded Warrior Hiring and Support Summit. The conference brings together government, military and industry leaders who are committed to hiring and supporting veterans and Wounded Warriors in the workplace.
If you are interested in attending as an employer, or as someone who is interested in supporting the conference, please email Caitlin Williams at Caitlin.williams@navy.mil .
Operation Partnership needs you! The Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce’s military outreach is expanding with Operation Partnership’s three events in 2016. On May 13, they will be holding an employment workshop at the 927th Air Refueling Wing Headquarters, followed by the civilian shadowing day on Friday, June 24. In the Fall, the Chamber will have their 3rd annual Business After Hours for Veterans, Military Spouses, and Active Duty.
We need mentors who can either participate in the employment workshop, or shadowing day. If you’re able to spend a Friday morning working with service members on their resumes, or showing them around your business, email me at mmaurino@tampachamber.com .
