The Veterans Council of Hillsborough County, Inc. and the Veterans Museum and Parks Committee, Inc. World War I Memorial Dedication Ceremony – to honor Hillsborough County citizens who gave the ultimate sacrifice in fighting the “War to End All Wars”. Naval JROTC Cadets from A. P. Leto High School will present the Colors. The guest speaker is Dr. Graydon A. Tunstall, Department of History, USF – Dr. Tunstall teaches classes on military history with an emphasis on the World Wars. Veterans of Foreign Wars, Riverview Post 8108 will provide Poppies to attendees. A rifle salute and TAPS by the Marine Corps League, Riverview Detachment 1226 will follow to pay tribute to the fallen. The public is invited and there is no charge to attend.
