Wednesday, 11 March – 11:30 am – 1:00 pm – Women in Defense Greater Tampa Bay Chapter Get Informed Luncheon – Tampa Yacht & County Club – Please join WID for our annual Women’s History Month luncheon as we honor the many women who have shaped our history and celebrate those who make progress in our time. Our distinguished panel will discuss – “Profiles in Leadership: Women Shaping the Future” – Panel will include: Ruth VanDyke, a retired Army Chemical Corps officer and one of the early female ROTC graduates. She was assigned as a liaison officer from the Joint staff, to US Special Operations Command, in 2009 and co-authored “Refined By Fire: Book One in the Guardians of Peace” historical fiction series chronicling the experiences of the first female ROTC commissioned lieutenants and the first women to attend West Point. Taylor Baldwin Kiland, a former naval Officer, and a writer who specializes in military non-fiction. Ms. Baldwin Kiland co-authored “Lessons from the Hanoi Hilton”. Amber Putnam, a 32 year Air Force veteran, including 21 years on active duty, and the first woman to command the Florida VFW in 2015. Register now!
