Design Thinking is a mindset to develop and deliver innovative ideas, change and solutions to complicated problems. It is an activity-based process with a strong emphasis on teamwork and co-creation. It refers to creative strategies designers utilize during the process of designing. Learn how design thinking can be used to consider issues, with a means to help resolve these issues, more broadly than within professional design practice and how to apply it in business as well as social issues. Design thinking in business uses the designer’s sensibility and methods to match people’s needs with what is technologically feasible and what a viable business strategy can convert into customer value and market opportunity.   Design Thinking is presented by Dr. Andy Gold and Prof. Beth Kerly of Hillsborough Community College.
