As you know, the leadership of Florida League of Defense Contractors and Florida Federal Contractors Association recently came together and created the new Florida Defense Contractors Association.
We effectively doubled in size under a unified mission.
Our new mission includes advocacy, an important part of the industry’s success in Florida – because what good is making great business contacts, if the industry business environment in which we operate is not favorable.
And, with Florida, the fourth most populous state, coming in fifth, sixth, or seventh in defense contract award dollars when compared to other states each year, I think it its safe to say, we do not have the optimal business climate for our industry.
So what do we do? We take our business issues to Tallahassee once a year with the message: “Defense Works in Florida.” We present proposals for a better business climate so we can equip America’s heroes, create jobs, and expand business opportunities right here in Florida.
We’ve lined up a unique schedule of activities, a networking Welcome Reception, panels, panelists and speakers, for you. We’ll provide you the tools to be knowledgeable of the issues and opportunities to meet defense businesses from around the state.
Join your fellow industry colleagues from around the state in Tallahassee next week.
