Joanne M. Tremont
Chief Administrative Officer
jtremont@celestarcorp.com
Joanne Tremont is really “at home” in Florida, as she was born in Coral Gables and raised in Ft. Myers, so being the Chief Administrative Officer of the Tampa-based Celestar Corporation allows her to be close to her roots, so to speak. While it may seem like Joanne has consistently been close to the Gulf of Mexico, it was quite a long and winding road that got Joanne back to The Sunshine State after teaching for 6 years in Cape Coral, FL.

Fellow friends and teachers shared an idea with the curious elementary teacher about teaching in Germany. With adventure in her heart, and sharing English on her mind, Joanne began teaching English-speaking children on the base in Germany. It was her love of teaching that kept her there for five years. During that service on base, the civilian Tremont met her future husband, and officer, Greg. When he could not extend abroad, the newlyweds returned to The United States of America, and for the first time back on American soil, Joanne lived outside Florida. Quantico, VA was where she shared her talents as a Special Education teacher for a year, and then it was on to Monterey, CA.

The venture out west lead Joanne to the business world with McGraw-Hill as a team leader for standardized testing practices. It was in The Golden State that Joanne became a mother of her only child, daughter, Bryce. After spending a few more years in California, Joanne was back in Germany teaching again. Upon another return to America, Joanne combined her teaching skills and business savvy to lead the after-school care that including team-building, academics and computer skills for productivity and progress. Finally, at her last stop before returning to Florida, Joanne taught kindergarten in NY. She went on to teach 3rd graders in Hillsborough county when the whole family was back in central Florida. When Joanne had a desire to get back to a business environment, she served a financial institution as its Office Manager just prior to becoming one of the three owners and operators of Celestar Corporation.
